Questions
Dilution, sensitive skin, babies, dogs, vinegar, shipping. Straight answers — and where we do not know something, we say so.
The soap itself
A plant-based liquid soap built on olive oil, with coconut, sunflower and castor oils and organic aloe vera. One bottle works as body wash, face wash, shampoo and — diluted — a household cleaner. The long version is here.
Seven ingredients in Unscented, eight in the scented bottles — the eighth being the essential oil itself. Four conditioning oils do the cleaning (olive, sunflower, castor and coconut), and organic aloe vera stays on the skin after rinsing. That is the whole formula. The full list is printed on every product page.
None of the three. You will never see the word "fragrance" on our label, because that word can hide a list nobody has to disclose. The scented bottles carry named essential oils — lavender, or the four citrus oils in Key Lime Citrus. Unscented carries none at all. No SLS, no parabens. Why sulfates matter.
Yes — every ingredient in the formula is plant-derived, and you can read all seven or eight of them on the bottle.
How to use it
Body wash: straight from the bottle. Face: half soap, half water. Household cleaning: one to two tablespoons in a spray bottle of water. Castile soap is concentrated, so the most common mistake is using too much. The full dilution guide.
We are not going to invent a number. It depends entirely on how you dilute it and how many people use it, and we have never measured it properly. What we can tell you is the ratio: undiluted for the body, half-and-half on the face, and one to two tablespoons in a whole spray bottle for cleaning. That last one goes a very long way.
Yes. It cleans the scalp without stripping its natural oils. If your hair is dry, thick or colour-treated, follow with a conditioner — castile soap has no synthetic conditioning agents in it, which is the point, but it does mean hair can feel different for the first few washes. More on washing hair with it.
Yes. Diluted, it cleans counters, floors and dishes. One to two tablespoons in a spray bottle of water is the usual mix. Room by room.
Not in the same bottle. Castile soap is alkaline and vinegar is acidic, so mixing them cancels both out and leaves a curdled white mess that cleans nothing. Used one after the other — soap first, rinse, then vinegar — they work fine. The full explanation.
Cool, dry and out of direct sunlight, with the cap closed between uses. It keeps.
Skin and safety
It is built for it: no synthetic fragrance, no sulfates, no parabens, and in Unscented no essential oil either. If your skin reacts to most things, Unscented is the one to start with — it is the base formula and nothing else. We are describing the formula here, not promising a result on your skin. More on sensitive and eczema-prone skin.
Castile soap is one of the gentler options, and Unscented has no essential oil in it, which is the ingredient people are usually asking about. But we are a soap company, not your pediatrician: for a newborn, or for any child with a skin condition, ask the person who knows your child before you switch anything. What we do and do not know about castile soap and babies.
Plain unscented castile soap is widely used on dogs, and diluted. Scented is a different question: essential oils that are harmless to you are not automatically harmless to a dog, and cats are more sensitive again. Ask your vet before using a scented bottle on an animal. Lavender castile soap and dogs, in detail — and the same question for peppermint.
The short answer is anything we would not want to explain. No sulfates, no parabens, no synthetic fragrance, no PEG compounds, no formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, no phthalates. Each of those has its own article, because "chemical-free" is a marketing word and a named ingredient is not: tetrasodium EDTA, PEG compounds, formaldehyde releasers, phthalates.

Yes. Send it back within 30 days with the original order confirmation or packing slip and we refund the full price of the product. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. One thing worth knowing: we can only honour this for orders placed on this website — a bottle bought from an unauthorised seller on Amazon or eBay is not covered.
Yes, and the arithmetic is on the page: two 32 oz bottles bought separately are $45.98, the duo is $39.99. That is $5.99 saved. All four duos.
Write to info@puravitalia.com and someone here reads it. There is a form too, if that is easier.
